Ariel Adkins

Ariel Adkins is the founder of the Art Book Salon, an artful academic reading group and social club. In 2012, wistful for the contact and conversation of graduate school, she coaxed a group of friends together for the first salon, reading and discussing MyWays, a Conceptual art novel by Rita McBride. Since then, the salon has devoured numerous books and participated in a multitude of arts-related adventures, including road trips, a number of film screenings and performances, and many exhibition openings. Ariel is also the creator of Artfully Awear, a collection of wearables that blurs the boundaries between art and clothing, and is the Curator of Art, Culture, & Community at Twitter NYC.
